👷⛏️ Hello New Miner ⛏️👷

I see you're here seeking riches. Well, you've come to the right place because these caverns are rich with mineral deposits. The stuff down there is worth a pretty penny, but you'll need to upgrade your mining rig to get hold of the goods.

The mining rig is a elegantly simple machine:

  • Tap the spacebar once to change mining lanes.
  • The rig will change directions automatically, so remember which way you're heading.
  • Mining ore will cost fuel, and collecting coal replenishes it.
  • If you fill up your storage or run out of fuel , then you'll be coming back to see me at the Rockbottom Barricade pitstop.

Upgrading your rig is easy too! When you're at a pitstop:

  • Tap the spacebar until you're hovering your desired purchase.
  • Hold the spacebar for about a second to confirm your selection.

And that's about it! I'm sure you'll be fine down there. Happy mining! ⛏️💎

Really cool game! I really dig (he he) the vibes, reminds me so much of Motherlode and other classic flash games :D
I was a bit confused at first, especially since it isn't very clear that you can mine the blue minerals but not the red ones, but once I got that I enjoyed the twist that the one-button gameplay offered to what would normally be a fairly simple obstacle dodging game, as you have to keep in mind which direction your vehicle is currently going to move towards next, and time your lane switches accordingly.
One thing that feels a bit odd is the fact that you only consume fuel when digging a mineral, but I imagine that having it always ticking down could lead to frustrating RNG.
Either way, it's a really well done game ^-^

I really like how the one button system works here! The rig doesn't wait for the lane change to read further inputs, so three quick presses can flip your direction. Really satisfying to get the hang of, only wish there was more!
